The NHL Superstar Who Crashed His New Truck Into Tim Hortons While Intoxicated & Got Arrested
Over seven years ago marks a very memorable moment in the NHL, a funny but scary one as well.
At the time Ryan O'Reilly played for the Colorado avalanche and he recently purchased a new truck, which he showed around social media at the time. Well, O'Reilly crashed that new truck.. into a Tim Hortons.
Yahoo Sports reported that Ryan O'Reilly was charged with impaired driving over 80, driving a motor vehicle when impaired and as well as being charged for fleeing a crash scene.
Thankfully no injuries were reported during the accident.
According to Middlesex county OPP
After the collision, police say a suspect drove the vehicle southbound on Saintsbury Line, before abandoning it and travelling by foot with another, unnamed, male occupant. The vehicle was located on Harold Court, while both occupants were found on Main Street.
Police determined that the driver had been drinking alcohol. He was arrested, transported to an OPP detachment for breath testing, then released on a promise to appear.O'Reilly was found NOT guilty in court of the crash, and took the announcement to media afterwards:
