The Worst is Confirmed For a Teams Best Defensemen - Out Indefinitely With Medical Personnel
It was a pretty nasty scene on Friday night, when John Carlson, of the Capitals, took a puck to the face on a slapshot from the blue line.
Carlson is a big piece to that Capitals defense, so it was not good to see him bloodied and head off to the ice.
Once he exited the game, he was taken to the hospital to get checked out by doctors.
Today, the Capitals have released the following update on Carlson:
The Capitals currently hold on to the 2nd wild car spot with a 19-13-4 record. Hopefully Carlson is able to make a quick recovery to help Ovi and the Capitals make a push for the playoffs.
