The World Juniors for hockey are underway now. The World Juniors have been catching a good amount of buzz with a large amount of upsets and some «overdoing.» Team USA has yet to live up to expectations following an upset loss to Slovakia. Canada, however, is looking like a force to reckon with especially after their 11-2 win over Germany.
Winning 11-2 against Germany wasn't even close the most impressive part of the game. The most impressive feat to come out of this game was Connor Bedard's 7 point performance. Bedard racked up a hat trick along with 4 assists as Team Canada dominated Team Germany. Bedard's performance tied the record for most point's in a single game for Team Canada. This is an impressive feat for anyone, let alone a 17 year old.
Bedard is the main highlight of the 2023 NHL Draft. It's assumed that Bedard will be the first overall pick of the 2023 draft class, and rightfully so. Bedard looks like a franchise player, so whoever ends up with the first overall pick should be more than delighted to have Bedard on their team.
