After last night, the youth movement was in full swing, as they defeated the St. Louis Blues, 6-2.

Among those who contributed were Ryan Donato, Connor Bedard, Philipp Kurashev, Samuel Savoie, Frank Nazar, Colton Dach, Landon Slaggert, Zachary Sanford, and Ethan Del Mastro all contributed a point.

A laundry list of future Blackhawks who showed that they do have what it takes, but they will instead of making the roster this season, head to the AHL.

It's literal whose, whose of former first rounders including, Kevin Korchinski, and Frank Nazar who're notables being cut yet again today.

D- Austin Strand Released from PTO, assigned to Rockford (AHL)
F-Colton Dach, Assigned to Rockford (AHL)
F-Cole Guttman, Assigned to Rockford (AHL)
F- Frank Nazar, Assigned to Rockford (AHL)
F- Zach Sanford, Assigned to Rockford (AHL)
F-Samuel Savoie, Assigned to Rockford (AHL)
F- Landon Slaggert, Assigned to Rockford (AHL)
D- Louis Crevier, Assigned to Rockford (AHL)
D- Ethan Del Mastro, Assigned to Rockford (AHL)
D- Kevin Korchinski, Assigned to Rockford (AHL)
G- Drew Commesso, Assigned to Rockford (AHL)

It is not surprising that Kevin Korchinski was sent down to the AHL, as last season he wasn't able due to the CHL age rules. Instead, the Blackhawks chose to burn a year of his ELC, and now that they have an idea of what his weaknesses are, could use his time in the AHL to turn him into an NHL defenseman.

Korchinski played 76 games in the NHL scoring 15 points( 5 G, 10 A), and has earned the compliments of his new teammates, who have said great things about the youngster's game.

"(Korchinski) has one of the hardest parts already mastered. It's his skating ability and his hockey sense and vision. That's something, to this day, that I don't even have," Murphy said. "So for him to be at that elite level already, when the rest of his game comes along, he's going to be a stud defenseman in the NHL for a long time."
