COVID-19 Making It's Way Back Into The NHL?
Winnipeg Jets head coach Rick Bowness hopes to return Wednesday against the Colorado Avalanche, he is confirmed to miss at least one more game will miss at least one more game after testing positive for COVID-19.
The 67-year-old veteran who was newly announced the head coach of the Winnipeg Jets this season sadly missed the Jets season opener on Friday, the Jets still pulled through with the win over the New York Rangers, he also missed a important game, against his former team the Dallas Stars, interim head coach Scott Arniel told the media on Saturday following practice. - Via TSN
Thankfully for the Jets they don't play this weekend.
''Arniel says Bowness is currently isolating and hopes to travel to Colorado for Wednesday's game against the Avalanche.
''Bowness is in his first season as Jets' head coach after spending the past three seasons with the Stars where he had an 89-62-25 record over 176 games. He took the team to the Stanley Cup Final in 2019-20.'' -TSN
Bowness took the Dallas Stars deep in the Covid bubble playoffs, but also tested positive for COVID-19 years ago mid-game, and had to leave the bench immediately.
