A new wave of Chicago Blackhawks rookies is so dedicated to the game that it frustrates the old guard.

It is remarkable how dedicated Bedard and other rookies are to the game. Some veterans refuse to put in the work that Bedard and other rookies do.

Blackhawks are going to have to send a SWAT team to extract Connor Bedard, Wyatt Kaiser, Kevin Korchinski Lukas Reichel and some of the other young guys off the ice after practice here in Denver. Bus is waiting. Corey Perry just came out and yelled, "OK, Connor wins. Let's go!"

In this instance, the team was in Colorado preparing to take on one of the best teams in the NHL, the Colorado Avalanche. Bedard's refusal to leave the ice led to more of his fellow rookies joining him, frustrating Corey Perry in particular.

This caused them to be late for the team bus, resulting in all this fuss from the veteran contingent.

Since his junior days in the WHL, Bedard has been known for turning regular practices into two-hour sessions. By working relentlessly on improving, Bedard and the younger players would grind out skating practices.

If anything Bedard has shown how dedicated he is to the craft with this kind of pursuit of self-improvement and apparently it's infectious.
