REPORT - Blackhawks Kyle Davidson Just Announced a Questionable Move
We now have another questionable transaction that falls underneath Kyle Davidsons ''rebuild'' structured plan. The Blackhawks have announced several roster cuts, and have now dimmed their roster down to 35 players, meaning 12 players still need to be trimmed off the roster before opening night which is just days away.
Kyle Davidson sent down multiple players today, but one has caught the fan base off-guard, and that is Lukas Reichel, who did not even make it to the final teams preseason game, and not even the second last round of cuts, but third. What is Davidson thinking, do the coaching staff and Davidson believe Reichel is not NHL ready? Was his over a point per game performance in his first AHL season last year not enough?
In just a few months time, it will be three years since Reichel was drafted, and he has yet to gain a roster spot with the organization despite showing incredible skills.
A rebuild is built around your youth and prospects, taking a look at another fan base who is nearly in the same position as the Blackhawks is the Philadelphia Flyers. The Flyers general manager and coach John Tortorella have stated ''We are going to play the kids, it's time'', when will it be time for the Blackhawks kids to get a taste??
