For most hockey players, playing the game itself is a huge deal, however, every once in a while a coach impacts the player so significantly - and that's where Pat Quinn comes in.
Quinn, is perhaps one of the greatest coaches in NHL history, but he was so much more than that.
The Hamilton, Ontario., native held roles as Head Coach, GM, Assistant GM, team president and Franchise owner, with the Canucks, Flyers, Kings, Oilers and the WHL's Vancouver Giants respectively.

A winner, is how you can best describe Pat Quinn, and his passion for the game of hockey allowed �the Big Irishman' to a long, successful career.
Quinn passed away in 2014, after a lengthy battle with illness.
Dan Robson, of the athletic wrote a biography about Quinn in 2015, titled - Quinn: The Life of a Hockey Legend.
And a Hockey Legend he was.
