Alex Ovechkin Pulls off The Classiest Move at The United Centre
If you didn't already know, Alex Ovechkin notched a hat-trick in the Capitals' recent 7-3 win over the Hawks. The third goal made hockey history, as it made Ovechkin just the third player in NHL history to reach the 800 goal mark. Ovechkin now just trail Gordie Howe (801) and Wayne Gretzky (894).
Following the win, Alex Ovechkin was heading off the ice and noticed a young Capitals fan that was admiring Ovi as he walked to the locker room.
Well, Ovi decided that he wanted to gift the young fan with his stick. Though it is obviously not the one that was used to score 800, it was still indeed a game-used stick in the game that he scored 800 in.
This kid should cherish this stick forever and make sure it finds a place in his man cave.
