BREAKING: Stanley Cup Champion Barbashev hits the free agent market
It's impressive how the Vegas Golden Knights won a cup in just six years, a year earlier than the Philadelphia Flyers' first cup victory.
Nowadays, NHL free agency is a frenzy, with teams searching for the missing piece to boost their performance.
I'm told no active talks at the moment between F Barbashev and
@GoldenKnights
. As of now it's looking like he'll be hitting the Free Agent Market- where he'll have plenty of lucrative offers.

Ivan Barbashev is one of the prime free-agent candidates, having won two Stanley Cups, one in 2019 with the St. Louis Blues, and now with the Vegas Golden Knights.
Losing such a valuable piece of their team after winning the cup is a testament to Vegas's strategy of picking up top players. Although Barbashev was not initially sought after by other teams, his place in Vegas's top six was vital to their success.
However, Barbashev's success comes at a cost, and he is due for a raise of about $4.8 million according to DailyFaceoff.com.
This amount may be too costly for Vegas, as they have always operated against the cap.
