Kyle Davidson's new regime started working on the Chicago Blackhawks' rebuild right away.

As of now, captain Jonathan Toews hasn't returned to the NHL since Kyle Davidson let his contract expire. Patrick Kane would be traded to the New York Rangers in an effort to kickstart the rebuild.

Kyle Davidson on starting a season without Jonathan Toews & Patrick Kane:
«It's definitely a different feelWe're pushing into a new eraThere's a level of excitement around our young playersit's a different vibe from a fan & personnel standpoint»

It's out with the old and in with the new, right? Davidson implemented this thinking immediately, disregarding Captain Toews and Kane from the dynasty-era.

His answer reeked of disrespect for the three-time Stanley Cup champions when asked about starting a season without the two.

As Davidson made quick work of getting rid of both the room and team, he WANTED to make a big change.

Davidson's disrespect, however, makes me wonder if he really respects either player's contribution to the locker-room.

So instead, we get Corey Perry, Jared Tinordi, and Nick Foligno.
