Pro Hockey League Doing Something the NHL Could Never Do
The Premier Hockey Federation, previously known as the National Women's Hockey League, has recently announced that they will be doubling their salary cap for next season.
This is massive news for the teams and players of the PHF, but it is not a good look for the NHL.
This news breaks just as Gary Bettman announced that the NHL will increase their salary cap by $1M.
So, while the PHF is raising their salary cap by 100%, the NHL is raising their salary cap by 1.2%.
This is bad for the NHL, who has so much more money than the PHF, but is only able to raise the cap by 1.2%.
